After nearly 50 years as part of the GuideOne family, CGA will be transitioning to new ownership—led by our current leadership team, Tim Lee and Adrienne Haverstick. The sale is expected to close on May 30, 2025.

What’s happening at CGA?
Effective May 30th, 2025, current CGA leadership is purchasing Career General Agency from GuideOne. Tim Lee’s leadership of CGA started in October 2021, while Adrienne Haverstick joined as the operations manager in March 2022. Importantly, your CGA people, operations, and mission remain the same.
Will there be changes in how I work with CGA?
No changes! You’ll continue working with the same CGA team and accessing the same carrier relationships. However, we’re enhancing services and tools to better support your growth.
Are phone numbers and email changing?
No. Email and phone numbers remain the same. We are introducing a fresh approach with a new domain – thinkcga.com. Current emails for all CGA people remain active.
Any changes to my commission structure?
No. Commission structures remain the same.
When will I receive my commissions?
Commission payments and statements will continue to be paid on the 15th of each month.
How will I receive commissions?
Commissions are currently paid via ACH and paper checks. As of January 1, 2026, CGA will pay commissions exclusively via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for increased security and convenience.
Are there production requirements or fees?
CGA does not have production requirements. No hidden costs. No fees to access carriers. We earn your business through service and results.
Is CGA licensed in my state?
CGA is licensed in all 50 states and DC. You must have a non-resident license to write in states outside your domicile.
Do I need a Surplus Lines license?
No. A Surplus Lines license is not required (agency or individual) to obtain a CGA appointment.
What E&O limit is required?
A minimum of $1MM in Errors & Omissions coverage is required.
